ReplyDeleteI was taught how to tie my shoes in Kindergarten. We had these boards with holes in them and shoe laces to learn how to practice tying.

DeleteMy daughter is learning how to tie her shoes and it's hard with me being a left hander and her being a righty. I would love to give this sweet book to her and the necklace to celebrate her victory!

ReplyDeleteWe are still in the process of learning to tie our shoes in my house. My daughter had it, she had it! Then somehow she forgot it! I showed her alternative ways and she picked up on one that is just horrible, it always ends in a knot! Poor thing! She's getting discouraged because she's in second grade and still can't do it.

ReplyDeleteI remember learning to tie my shoe, we did it by bunny ears and crossing those over. I now teach my eleven grandchildren how to, yes me LOLL. I love it.

I tried teaching my grandson how to tie his laces and he said I was doing it wrong. As far as a tie, I still can`t help hubby tie that!

ReplyDeleteSince Im the only leftie my mom had a shoe saleman who was left handed teach me to tie my shoes. My kids we bought those toys where you can tie the babies shoes and they learned that way.

ReplyDeleteI learned to tie a neck tie from my Uncle. He was talking about it when I was really little (like age 7) and I said I wanted to do it, so he showed me.

ReplyDeleteMy father taught me how to tie a tie by having me stand in front of a large mirror and follow what he did. He very seldom wore a tie but was able to show me how to tie one.
