How did Albert Einstein come up with his wondrous theories of light and time? In Einstein's Compass: A YA Time Traveler Adventure, a young Albert is given a supernatural compass that allows him to travel through time and space and find wisdom in other dimensions, including the lost city of Atlantis. But evil forces seek the power of the compass, including a monstrous, shape-shifting dragon from a different age. Can the compass protect Albert from such villainy?

PRAISE FOR EINSTEIN'S COMPASS:
"This is an amazing story. Everyone should thoroughly enjoy reading it. I was impressed with how the authors managed to incorporate the known information on the lost continent of Atlantis, Light Workers, souls, reincarnation, time travel and the early years of Albert Einstein before he became famous, into a mesmerizing work of fiction readers will have difficulty putting down. --Doug Simpson, Author of We Lived in Atlantis
This is highly recommended for those who enjoy a saga of good vs. evil that spans tens of thousands of years, for readers who devour novels that blend history and fantasy, and for anyone who is simply looking for a unique story that they will not want to put down.
-- Jacqui Murray, Author as the Tech Teacher
The weaving of the story between the religion realm and Albert’s world is a captivating tale that keeps the reader’s attention. The good and evil of the timeless religious realm is like watch a chess match to see who outwits whom … I hope there is a next book somewhere in my future.

Author Interview: Grace Allison Blair
Part Two
Where did
your love of reading come from?
As a child my life was in constant turmoil. Reading
gave me an escape to people, places and stories that kept me in a world of my
own. My imagination came alive with possibilities.
How long
have you been writing?
I am retired after forty years in marketing and
business development where I assisted companies with their business objectives.
I began writing books when I was laid off in 2001 after 9/11. The world stopped
when the towers came crashing down. I asked God what I should do now. The
answer I heard was: write your book. I followed my intuition to write my first
nonfiction spiritual book, A Dream is a
Wish the Heart Makes. Took me two years to write eighty-eight pages.
What does
your perfect writing spot look like? Is that what your ACTUAL writing spot
looks like?
My perfect spot is where I am sitting. In my home
office, sitting behind my computer facing the west side of the house. Pandora
radio playing soft music while I touch the keyboard and watch the day go by out
my window.
Do you have
any strange writing habits or writing rituals you’d like to share with your
readers?
In meditation I will ask my characters to speak to me.
Then I will wait for them to show up. Sometimes they will come to me in the
meditation or in a dream or while I am out running errands.
What do you
like to read in your free time?
Historical fiction, spiritual themes in stories,
history, biographies.
Who are some
of the authors you feel were influential in your work?
Ken Follett writes historical fiction. I like his
style of combing fictional characters in history. Also, James Michener wrote in
a similar way. Murasaki, a female Japanese author who wrote the first novel in
history, “The Tale of Genji” which cover one hundred years of Japanese history
during the tenth century Japan.
What book do
you wish you could have written?
I have written the one novel I dreamed to write.
Is there any
person(s) you credit for being your inspiration for reading and/or writing?
My husband, John Blair, has been supportive and
helpful. We often sit at the kitchen table and discuss the books as they
develop. My spiritual teacher, John-Roger, inspired the mystical travelers in
Einstein’s Compass and Albert’s travels to Atlantis. My co-author, Laren Bright,
has brought his gift of writing that made the story better.
Who would
you cast to play your characters in a movie version of your book?
The characters in Einstein’s
Compass are nineteenth century German speaking people. Not sure who the
actors would be. I do think James Cameron or Steve Spielberg would make good
directors for the film of Einstein’s
Compass. I have created postcards of each of the main characters with his/her
picture and a comment each says in the book.
How
important are names to you in Einstein’s
Compass? How did you choose names?
The names in Einstein’s
Compass were very important. Einstein had to blend with German names of the
nineteenth century. The twin characters from Atlantis, Arka and Raka, were
ancient names that were mirror images of each other but totally opposite in
personality.
Some of the people in EC are real like Albert’s future
wife, Mileva Maric. The made-up characters are Johann, Raka, Arka, the
Countess, Werner von Wiesel, his teachers, the Thomas family and Pater
Benjamin, Atlantis. These created characters are a combination of people I know
with an exaggerated personality.
What do your
plans for future projects include?
Not sure what I will write next. My time will be
focused on marketing Einstein’s Compass. An audiobook is in the pipeline.
Is there one
subject you would never write about as an author? What is it?
I would not write a book like 50 Shades of Gray.
If you had a
superpower, what would it be?
Disappear when I want to.
If you were
a superhero, what would your name be? What costume would you wear?
Grace, just me being me. Wear ordinary clothes. After
all no one suspects you’re a superhero if you blend in.
Where is one
place you want to visit that you haven't been before?
Japan. I am in love with the ancient, historical
Japanese.
If you were
an animal in a zoo, what would you be? In four words or less, tell us why.
A furry sea otter. Play, swim, eat, fun.
If you could
speak with any accent from anywhere in the world, what would you choose and
why?
French. My grandmother was French. I loved the way her
words sounded, soft with lots of hand drama.
What’s
something interesting, fun, or funny that most people don’t know about you?
On my 50th birthday I planned and performed
a belly dance in a middle eastern restaurant in Dallas. Great fun.
What’s your
funniest flaw?
I have mermaid feet. My feet have large bunions that
stick out and my feet are flat with the heal being small and the center of my
foot being wide. I swim really well.
If you could
time travel, what time period would you first visit?
Atlantis.
Do you have
a mantra for writing and/or for life?
Dare to dream, listen to your intuition, be kind, be
gentle with yourself and be courageous in your endeavors.
What is
something you want to accomplish before you die?
Travel more and have Einstein’s Compass become a movie.
What do you
want your tombstone to say?
Grace Blair was a spiritual warrior who served to make
a difference to uplift the spirit of mankind.
